It was the second trip to Ladakh as the last one wasn't exactly satisfactory from birding perspective. And we had Sandeep Nayal as our guide this time. Covered Aghama, Shakti, Chang La, Merak, Hanle and Leh. Among notable ones White-browed Tit-warbler, Golden Eagle, Bearded Vulture or Lamagear, Black-necked Crane.

These 2 trips (23-31 Dec 2023 and 20-28 Jan 2024) to Uttarakhand covered about 200 species. We covered Sattal, Bhimtal, Chopta, Manila, Mandal, Nainital, Ranikhet, Ramnagar, Kathgodam areas. We had Sandeep Nayal, Rohit Nayal & Mohit Joshi as guides across both trips.
Among the notable species we got Cheer Pheasant, Koklass Pheasant, Himalayan Monal, Vinaceous Rosefinch, Ibisbill, Black-throated Accentor, Tawny Fish-Owl, Mountain Hawk-Eagle, European Goldfinch etc. Among mammals Yellow throated Marten, Indian Serow.
Chhapar village in Rajasthan is mostly famous for Blackbuck Sanctuary. But abundance of Spiny-tailed Lizard makes it a heaven for raptors like White-eyed Buzzard, Laggar Falcon, Booted Eagle, Tawny Eagle etc. Had covered most of it by 2 trips during 19-20 Aug and 30 Sept - 2 Oct.
This place is pretty easy to reach from Gurgaon/Delhi by train. Visited one weekend of August and 4 days in October. Stayed at Raptor's Paradise Guest House and travelled with guide Ravinder. Got some good shots of Laggar Falcon, White-eyed Buzzard & Booted Eagle.
Bikaner trip on 1-2 Dec featured hundreds of Vultures and Eagles. largly consisting of Himalayan Griffon, Eurasian Griffon, Egyptian Vulture, Cinereous Vulture, Steppe Eagle etc. Stayed at Dr. Jitu Solanki's Place.
14-18 Dec at Sam, covered most of Desert National Park and some of the sightseeings of Jaisalmer as well, with Musa Khan.
After Bikaner, on a one day stay in Khichan at Sevaram Mali's place, we got thousands of Demoiselle Cranes spiraling over our head in Khichan as well.
A 2 days (28-29 Jan) trip to Keoladeo Ghana National Park from Delhi. Took bus from Delhi. Stayed in Hotel Comfort Regency in Bharatpur, 400 mts away from the park. Had a nice cycle trip inside the park with guide B S Rana. Rickshaws and battery cars are also available.

It was a 6 days trip from Bangalore. Train to Aluva, then cab. Stayed in our usual Jungle Bird Homestay. Got to see a lot of new species this time, with Girsh and amma as our guide. Among notable species Malabar Trogon, Ceylon Frogmouth, Ceylon Bayowl, Black Baza, Indian Giant Squirrel, Draco.

Short one-day trip in search of Osprey in Purbasthali Oxbow lake, about 125 km from Howrah/Kolkata, house to Osprey and a lot of migratory and local waders.

We went on a 8 days trip to Andaman and spent 5 days of it birding in South Andaman. Starting from Port Blair, the birding trip mostly covered Chidiyatapu, Kalatang and Garcharama Wetlands area.
We were able to cover 15 out of 19 endemic species of Andaman including Andaman Woodpecker, White-headed Starling, Andaman Flowerpecker etc. Had night sessions too in search of Andaman Scops Owl, Andaman Boobook, Andaman Nightjar and other owl species.

It was a one and a half month trip to Ladakh. We stayed in Leh with WFH and did sightseeing and birding by the weekend and holidays. Most of the birds were covered during a 9 day trip to Pangong Tso, Hanle, Umling La, Tso Moriri, Tso Kar and Taglang La. Especially Hanle consists of vairety of birds sucha as Tibetan Lark, Black-necked Crane, Mongolian Finch etc. And Salk lake of Tso Kar and fresh water lake Startsapuk Tso consists a lot of Waders, Crane, Buzzard and Tibetan Sandgrouse.
We even got some good sightings of wild mammals as well, such as Tibetan Gazelle, Himalayan Mermot, Himalayan Red Fox, Plateau Pika, Mountain Vole, Blue Sheep and Kiang.
It was a week long trip to Latpanchar. First 2 days we were mostly spent in search of Rufous-necked Hornbill. And then 2 days to Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, 1 day to Gajoldoba and the last day to Shivkhola, wehere we got Pied Hornbill before returning to NJP.
7 species of kingfishers are found across Bhitarkanika: White-throated Kingfisher, Common Kingfisher, Brown-winged Kingfisher, Collared Kingfisher, Black-capped Kingfisher, Pied Kingfisher and Stork-billed Kingfisher. They were pretty much abundant. In our 5 day trip, e could find all of them in a single session.
Apart from that found some other waders, owls etc.

We left for Mysuru during the Chistmas holidays from Bengaluru on a scooty ride. Spent half a day at Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary.
